I believe drinking sweetened beverages is something we learn

I believe drinking sweetened beverages is something we learn…at a
young age.

I know I did. Slowly but surely I drank more and more soda…then diet
soda. It was sugar free – so not bad for you, right?

I can’t fault my parents…no one knew any better back then.

We know better now.

I found this article disturbing… have to share. It’s from Harvard… so I
trust it.
Key take away…
Beverage companies spend billions of dollars marketing carbonated
beverages, with a significant portion of marketing aimed directly at
youth ages 2–17.

Really?

And then there is this…
Some studies have suggested sugar is as addictive as cocaine. People
often enjoy the dopamine release sugar brings. However, due to the
addictive nature of sugar, long-term health effects like obesity and
diabetes are as a risk of sugar overindulgence.

Most agree diet soda isn’t any better than regular soda for us.

What do you think?
